Commercial Solar Installation for Business

Commercial solar for building owners, developers, and EPC contracts. We design, install, and service the system with our own crews, so the savings stay in your business instead of going to change orders.
You’re not just saving with Venture
While lower energy costs, tax benefits, and rebates help your company keep more money in the bank, that’s not all solar installation is worth.
- Lower operating costs from year one
- A fixed energy cost for 20-plus years
- Meets sustainability commitments to customers and lenders
- Adds value to the building

Save From the Start
$0 out of pocket
The federal 48E credit covers 30% of a commercial solar system’s cost for projects placed in service by December 31, 2027. Systems that use domestic equipment or sit in a designated energy community can qualify for more. Add five-year depreciation and your state’s incentives, and most businesses see the system pay for itself well inside its warranty. We’ll show you the math for your building before you commit to anything.

Excellent experienceFrom the first meeting with the sales team through the installation process, it was a wonderful experience. The sales team was very informative and had patience to explain the complete process. The installation team, from roofing through electrical, were knowledgeable, helpful, and did amazing job. Fully recommend for anyone looking for a solar solution.

Solar-powered EV charging solutions
Venture Home installs commercial EV charging as part of your solar system, so your chargers run on power you produce instead of power you
buy. We size the charging to your fleet or your customers, design the electrical to support it, and service the whole system after the install. One
contractor, one warranty, one call when you need something.

Commercial Solar Incentives
See how much your business will save
Incentives and rebates can significantly reduce your upfront costs and maximize your long-term savings.
Connecticut
Connecticut pays commercial solar owners through the NonResidential Renewable Energy Solutions program. You choose between selling all your power to the utility at a fixed 20-year rate or offsetting your own usage and selling the rest. Either way, the rate is locked the day you sign, which is more than Eversource or UI will offer you.
New York
NY-Sun pays a per-watt incentive on commercial systems, set by region and paid up front to lower your installed cost. Con Edison territory has its own incentive level. New York also exempts the system from added property tax for 15 years, and New York City buildings get a separate four-year property tax abatement on top.
Massachusetts
Massachusetts pays commercial solar owners a fixed rate per kilowatt-hour for 20 years through the SMART program, on top of the savings from using your own power. The rate depends on your utility, system size, and whether you add storage. Net metering credits any excess back to your bill. Massachusetts also exempts the system from property tax for 20 years.
Rhode Island
Rhode Island’s Renewable Energy Fund offers commercial-scale grants toward the cost of a system, awarded in rounds through Commerce RI. Solar equipment is exempt from state sales tax and from local property tax. Rhode Island Energy also offers a Renewable Energy Growth tariff that pays a fixed rate for your output over 20 years.
New Hampshire
New Hampshire’s Commercial and Industrial Solar Rebate, run
by the Public Utilities Commission, pays a per-watt rebate on new systems up to a set cap. Net metering credits your excess production. Many towns also offer a local property tax exemption on solar equipment; ask us whether yours does.
New Jersey
New Jersey pays commercial solar owners a fixed amount for
every megawatt-hour the system produces, for 15 years, through the Successor Solar Incentive program (SuSI). Public entities like schools and municipalities get a higher rate. New Jersey also exempts solar equipment from sales tax and from property tax assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the financial benefits of installing solar for my business?
Solar installation can significantly reduce your energy bills, saving your business money over time. Additionally, you can take advantage of tax credits, rebates, and other incentives to further reduce upfront costs and improve your return on investment.
How can solar installation improve my company’s image?
More customers, tenants, and lenders ask about a building’s energy profile than did five years ago. A solar system is a concrete answer. It also shows up in sustainability reporting if your customers or investors require it.
What incentives and rebates are available for commercial solar installations?
The federal 48E credit covers 30% of system cost for commercial projects placed in service by the end of 2027, and five-year
depreciation applies on top. Every state Venture serves adds its own: performance payments, grants, tax exemptions, or a combination. The state blocks above cover the main ones, and your quote will show the exact stack for your address.
How long does it take to see a return on investment with solar energy?
The average ROI for commercial solar installations is typically seen within 5 to 7 years. This depends on factors like your energy usage, location, and available incentives, but many businesses experience immediate savings on their energy bills, contributing to a faster return.
